for parents to be.
Birth & Babies Today series
Topics in this three-week series include breathing and relaxation, variations of labor and birth, tips for your support person, pain relief, care for the new mom and baby and a tour of the facility. (Begin this series in your 6th or 7th month. Cost: $60)
June 1, 8, and 22 (2:30p-5:30p)
August 3, 10, 17 (2:30p-5:30p)
October 19, 26 and Nov 2 (2:30p-5:30p)
Breastfeeding class
Learn breastfeeding basics: importance of breastfeeding, getting started, correct positioning, tips for returning to work and an overview of breast pumps. Fathers-to-be need to attend! (Take this class in your 7th or early 8th month. Cost: $25)

Breastfeeding
Take this class in your 7th or early 8th month.
Learn breastfeeding basics such as how to get started, correct positioning and technique, tips for returning to work, and an overview of breast pumps. Fathers-to-be are encouraged to attend!
2008 Dates: January 30, February 27, March 26,
April 30, May 28, June 25, July 30, August 27, September 24, October 29, November 19 and December 10. (Call for additional dates.)
Time: 6:30-9:00pm
Fee: $25 (Plus $5 registration fee if not already paid.) (Breastfeeding book included.)
Sibling Class
Targeted for siblings ages 4-10.
This class is designed to include brothers and sisters in the excitement surrounding the birth of a new sibling. We promote family bonding to help reduce jealous feelings. A tour of the birthing facility is included in this class. A parent must stay with the child.
Please indicate the number of children and parents attending.
2008 Dates: January 13, March 9, May 18, July 13, September 14 and November 16.
Time: 2:00-3:30pm
Fee: $10 per child (Plus $5 registration fee if not already paid.)
Birth and Babies Today
Begin this series during your 6th or 7th month.
This five-week series covers topics including variations of labor and birth, breathing and relaxation, tips for your support person, pain relief and care for the new mom and baby. Recommended for first-time parents. Includes a facility tour.
2008 Start Dates:
MONDAY FIVE WEEK SERIES: January 7, February 11, March17, April 21, June 2, July 7, August 11, September 22 and October 27.
TUESDAY FIVE WEEK SERIES: January 8, February 12, March 18, April 22, May 27, July 8, August 12, September 16 and October 21.
Time: 6:30-8:30pm
Fees: Class fee: $60 (Plus $5 registration fee if not already paid.)
Infant and Prenatal Partner Massage
Learn and practice massage techniques that alleviate the principal complaints of pregnancy and labor. Participants will also see how to perform infant massage and learn the benefits of massage for a new baby. This class is taught by a certified massage therapist and includes practice time and mommy massage.
2008 Dates: February 9, April 12, June 7, August 9, October 4 and December 6.
Time: 1:00-4:00pm
Fee: $30 per couple (Plus $5 registration fee if not already paid.)
Class size: Minimum 4 couples, Maximum 8 couples
Super Saturday Class
Take this in your 7th or early 8th month.
This class combines the information from the Birth and Babies Today series into an all-day Saturday class. A good option as a refresher course or for those moms-to-be who would have difficulty attending five weekly sessions. Includes a tour of the Childbirth Center.
Breathing and relaxation is not included in the Super Saturday Class.
(Not recommended for first-time parents.)

Grandparent Class
This class informs expectant grandparents of the latest trends in obstetric care, infant care and safety.
2008 Dates: February 6, April 2, June 4, August 6, October 1 and December 3.
Time: 6:30-8:30pm
Fee: $10 per person/$15 per couple (Plus $5 registration fee if not already paid.)
